New to Grow
Hello and welcome, You’ve already taken the most courageous step — recognizing and acknowledging that counseling may offer direction and clarity in your life. That awareness is powerful. My name is Alexis Pullins, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Alabama. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama in 2020. With over seven years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including adolescents, teens, young adults, older adults, veterans, and individuals who are currently incarcerated.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will focus on rapport building through various conversations that focus on symptom onset, client interests, and client curiosity.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My therapeutic approach integrates multiple evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I also draw on an integrative and holistic framework, tailoring techniques to meet each client’s unique needs.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in supporting clients who: 1) are managing their mental health 2) are navigating significant life changes or transitions and 3) are seeking insight into their past, present, or future experiences.
