Hello, my name is Krista. I'm a Caribbean American Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW ) in New York. I graduated from Adelphi University and have 5 years of experience providing clinical insight. I help young adults deal with life transitions, relationships and workplace stressors. Adolescents learn to build their self esteem , decrease anxiety and/or depressive symptoms and adults find peace with where they are in life.
In our first session we will focus on going through the assessments you completed so we can build the right treatment plan and focus on building rapport.
Having worked in multiple settings and so many different populations, my superpower is meeting people where they are. This is your life and I just want to collaborate on making it the best experience.
I am best positioned to working with clients who are experiencing the difficulty of adolescence and finding themselves. I also love working with young professionals who have just graduated, figuring out next steps and/or just started in the workforce and unfortunately feel overwhelmed.
I use CBT to help my clients learn the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. This is helpful when struggling with intrusive thoughts, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideations.

Talking with Krista feels natural—like chatting with a friend. She listen and offer advice that sticks with me. I do want to be more mindful of time during our sessions, since I tend to get caught up in storytelling like it’s poetry and lose track of it. I appreciate the patience with that, and I’m working on being more precise so we can make the most of our time together. Thank you, Krista!

I feel good. The session went well. I need someone to listen to me but I also need someone that doesn’t always agree with me but share what they see and tell me, so I can try to think about that. I like Krista and I want to see her again.
