LICSW, 12 years of experience
Hi, my name is Rachel Register and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has been in practice in Massachusetts as well as New Hampshire for over 10 years working with adults, couples and families. I feel passionate about healing and empowering clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues and life transitions. My practice consists of a collaborative process that helps clients find a more positive self narrative. I believe one of the key factors in successful therapeutic outcomes is building a safe, trusting and respectful therapeutic relationship. It can be hard to ask for help. You have taken the first step towards your recovery and should feel empowered by that. I would be happy to talk with you further to see if my services can be of help to you. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My strengths include my ability to meet the client where they are at. I am down to earth, non judgmental and want people to feel heard. Therapy works when client's feel they can trust you and I have been told by current and former client's that I do well with this.
I enjoy working with adults who need support with their mental health challenges, specifically navigating resources and tools to help assist them with their wellness journey. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality.
SFBT concentrates on finding solutions in the present and exploring one’s hope for the future in order to find a effective and pragmatic resolution of one’s problems. I use this approach with client's who do not want to be in therapy long term. Most of these patient's come in with a goal and meet them within six months.
CBT is problem oriented and focuses on working through current problems and finding solutions. I use this approach with my client's to identify negative thoughts and replace them with more meaningful ones that help to promote their overall well being.
