I have over 23 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor providing therapeutic services to those who suffer from depression, anxiety, co-occurring substance use disorders, PTSD, LGBT issues, HIV/AIDS, ADHD, women’s issues, cultural issues and anger management are just a few among many other issues I have assisted clients with over the years.

In our first session together, we will start with a brief introduction, review your enrollment paperwork and I will explain my practice policies. Then, I will dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have worked for many years with the military and helping those dealing with military related stress, relationship and PTSD issues. I believe my ability to work with diverse populations helps to add me in being able to connect with people from all walks of life and better assist them in the healing process. Additionally, I have a background that's extensive in working with those suffering from depression and anxiety disorders, co-occurring substance use disorders, LGBT issues, HIV/AIDS, and anger management.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to support clients in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their emotional well-being. By integrating evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s needs, I help clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward lasting, meaningful change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to help them reach their goals and strengthen their emotional wellness.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma- Focused CBT & Solution Focused Brief Therapy to assist clients in reaching their set goals and enrich their emotional wellness.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and SFBT to support clients in achieving their goals and improving emotional wellness.

Gender-affirming therapy

I offer gender-affirming therapy to support clients in exploring, understanding, and affirming their gender identity. This includes creating a safe space to question and reflect on their sense of self, while navigating the emotional, social, and psychological challenges that may arise.
