Hi there! I'm Grace. Do you think you could be happier? Do you feel trapped by your own thoughts and behaviors, and you're looking for a change? Together we can get you back on track and reaching your full potential. I empower individuals to gain skills that allow them to address the areas of life in which they are struggling. I'm here to help. Seeking counseling can feel scary, and by reading this, you've taken the first step. Great! Our sessions will be a safe space to heal and grow, and I am looking forward to working with you.
In our first session, we will start with brief introductions. Research tells us that a positive relationship between client and therapist matters a lot on how effective treatment will be, so it's important to me that you feel comfortable with me and my approach. It will also be an opportunity for me to begin to understand the specific challenges you are facing so that we can create a therapeutic plan tailored to your unique needs.
I've worked with clients ranging from teenagers in the juvenile justice system, all the way to older adults facing end of life issues. I'm able to meet people where they are, regardless of where they come from. Each client brings a unique situation, and it is my job to adapt to each and every one of you. Regardless of the approach used by a counselor, one thing remains constant: building a strong therapeutic relationship with the client, and this is something I prioritize in my work. My schedule is flexible, with Saturday or Sunday appointments available upon request.
My clientele is unique and varied. Research tells us that the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist matters, a lot. Please feel free to schedule a consultation prior to your first session to see if my style feels like a good fit for your needs!

We will make connections between unhelpful ways of thinking and and patterns of behavior. By changing thinking patterns, we can change behavioral patterns. CBT has shown to be effective for a wide range of psychological problems.
Based on CBT, DBT will help us address those very intense emotions you may be experiencing by understanding how thoughts affect emotions and behaviors. Skills are focused on mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation.
Taking an attachment-based approach allows us to look at the connection between your early experiences and the way you now form emotional and physical relationships. As a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner, my approach is trauma-informed and attachment-based.
We will focus on your internal strengths and resilience, rather than focusing on your perceived weaknesses or shortcomings.
