I graduated from the University of Miami with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, I’ve helped numerous people who struggle with a variety of mental health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, trauma, complicated grief, amongst others. I've had the opportunity to work with individuals struggling with detrimental behaviors, individuals with chronic health conditions including cancer, developmental disorders and neurocognitive disorders, alongside their families and loved ones. Helping people is not just a profession for me, it is a way of life. Remember, no matter what is ailing you, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel! “No matter how long and difficult your road to healing may be, just one step in the right direction makes all the difference!“ -Janice Del Pilar, LMHC
In our first session together we will start with brief introductions, then dive into specific challenges you are facing. This will help me develop a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.
I believe that utilizing effective interventions is important. I utilize principles from several psychological theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy and some aspects of Psychoanalysis. I continuously pursue continued education on important topics including trauma, anxiety disorders, grief counseling, and more.
I work well with individuals who want to develop awareness about who they are and are receptive to learn new ways of looking at themselves and the world. I find meaning and purpose in helping people find healing as they navigate loss, grief, chronic health conditions and more. I also have supported individuals and families who have a loved one who struggles with developmental and neurocognitive disorders.
