our first session, my goal is to get to know you. We’ll talk about what’s been weighing on you, what you’d like to change, and what you hope to get out of our time together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your story, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once — we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a clearer sense of direction and usually a few practical tools or insights you can start using right away. It’s a chance for us to see how we work together, and for you to feel supported from the very beginning.

Motivational Interviewing

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT works by identifying, tackling, and changing unhelpful thinking so that your mindset, behaviors, and overall well-being improve with practice. When you change the way you feel about specific situations, for example, it will likely be easier to adapt your behaviors in the future. In mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, substance use, phobias, and many others, negative thinking takes many forms, like: thinking in black and white overgeneralizing ignoring the positive and focusing on the negative catastrophizing
