Hi, I’m Natalie Beemer, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping individuals achieve mental wellness. I specialize in evaluating and treating a wide range of mental health conditions using a compassionate, evidence-based approach. My goal is to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered in your care. I work collaboratively with each client to develop personalized treatment plans that support long-term stability and overall well-being.
During your first session, we will take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you in. I will ask questions about your current concerns, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and any previous treatments you may have tried. This helps me gain a full understanding of your needs and goals. Together, we will begin to identify a plan that feels comfortable and appropriate for you. This may include discussing possible diagnoses, treatment options such as medication or therapy, and next steps. My approach is collaborative, so you will always be involved in decision-making about your care. Most importantly, this is a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
My greatest strengths are my ability to truly listen, build trust quickly, and create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I take a compassionate, individualized approach to care, recognizing that every person’s experience is unique and deserves a tailored treatment plan. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive and solution-focused strategies to help clients feel better both in the short term and long term. I also focus on helping clients understand what they’re experiencing—whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or symptoms like intrusive thoughts or mood instability—so they feel more in control of their mental health. Clients often tell me they feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping you build confidence, stability, and lasting improvement in your overall well-being.
I am best positioned to work with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and take an active role in their mental health. Many of my clients are dealing with anxiety, depression, mood instability, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, or complex conditions such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. I also work well with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, even if they cannot fully put their experience into words yet. My ideal clients are open to collaboration and willing to explore both medication and non-medication strategies when appropriate. I especially connect well with those who value clear communication, education about their diagnosis and treatment, and a supportive, structured approach to care. I also have a strong interest in helping individuals who have not found success with previous treatments or who feel misunderstood in their mental health journey. My goal is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, and work together toward meaningful, lasting improvement.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles into my practice as a structured, evidence-based approach to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is especially effective for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and mood disorders. In my approach, I focus on helping clients identify unhelpful or distorted thought patterns and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. We also work on practical strategies to manage symptoms, such as coping skills, behavioral activation, and problem-solving techniques. I tailor CBT interventions to each individual, meeting you at your level and pacing the work so it feels manageable and relevant to your daily life. As a psychiatric provider, I often integrate CBT-informed strategies alongside medication management when appropriate. This allows for a more comprehensive treatment plan that addresses both the biological and psychological aspects of mental health. My goal is to equip you with tools you can use independently, so you feel more in control, confident, and supported in your progress.
