New to Grow
I have rich experience covering a wide range of issues. I utilize CBT and Existential Therapy. When people are empowered through being heard, emotionally supported, and helped to develop skills, they have a greater ability to lead emotionally healthy lives. I have treated people suffering from mild emotional issues and those with severe psychological dysfunction. These issues range from anxiety and depression to PTSD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. I have worked with people from all walks of life and professional backgrounds.
Our first session is to allow us to get to know each other. Can I help you? What is happening in your life? Do you feel like you can work with me? Think of it as a two-way interview.
I set an easygoing posture to help people feel more at ease. I hold a safe space for therapy. People may become as intense or as casual as they desire. I empower people to guide our conversation topics and how we proceed in therapy. This is their life. I am but a person offering to be their guide into emotional health and well-being. I believe clients know what they wish to achieve through therapy. I listen to their ideas. I then help them prioritize their goals and shape them into SMART goals, which can be measured over time.
I treat people who want to improve how they manage their lives and their emotional responses. I treat people who want to feel happier in their lives. These clients may be suffering from depression, anxiety, ADHD, guilt, extended grief, or any type of emotion/symptoms that have been too much to deal with. I help people struggling with relationship issues. Couples often are finding it difficult to overcome the strong emotions being felt.
CBT is about teaching people new knowledge and skills to better handle their emotional life. People learn the tools to help themselves.
Existential therapy helps to answer bigger life questions. This is mostly done by listening to clients and asking important questions.
This approach is geared for people who experience emotions that are "too hot to handle."
This a a specific set of methods for helping two people work together to be a healthy whole using methods designed for individual treatment.
