Hey there! I'm Gabbie, and as a therapist, I’m dedicated to helping you navigate life’s challenges with compassion and understanding. I specialize in creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your emotions, build resilience, and find healing. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, or simply seeking personal growth, I use a combination of evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and faith-based practices to guide you toward lasting change. Together, we’ll work to unlock your inner strengths, improve your emotional well-being, and help you live a more balanced, fulfilling life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first therapy session, we will take time to build a foundation for our work together by discussing the challenges you're currently facing and how they are impacting your daily life and overall well-being. We will explore your mental health symptoms, their effects on your functioning, and gather important background information to understand your childhood development, family dynamics, and any previous mental health-related interventions you've experienced. Additionally, we will address any relevant medical concerns that may be influencing your mental health. Together, we will identify your specific goals for therapy, so we can tailor our approach to help you achieve the outcomes you're seeking. This session is designed to create a safe, open space where you can feel heard and understood as we begin your healing journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my strengths lie in my ability to create a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable and supported. I’m skilled at building strong therapeutic alliances, allowing clients to open up and explore their challenges with trust and confidence. My approach is both holistic and individualized, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies such as CBT, TF-CBT, and faith-based practices, which I tailor to each client's unique needs. I am deeply committed to helping clients discover their inner strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve lasting personal growth. My compassion, active listening, and practical guidance allow me to help clients navigate difficult emotions and create positive, lasting change in their lives.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My ideal client is someone who is open to exploring their emotions, challenges, and personal growth in a supportive and collaborative environment. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, but they are ready to take proactive steps toward healing and positive change. My ideal client values the integration of both practical coping strategies and spiritual guidance, whether through faith-based practices or evidence-based therapies like CBT and TF-CBT. They are motivated to work through difficulties with a commitment to self-improvement and are seeking a safe space where they can feel heard, empowered, and equipped to build a healthier, more balanced life. I especially love working with women, college students, and young professionals- those who may be having difficulty with peer relationships in high school, just starting their academic journey, or those who are in the process of establishing their careers or transitioning to a new career. My heart is also passionate about working with those who are just starting out in their pursuit of becoming a mental health professional. I remember my own time in this stage of life and how difficult it can be to balance personal life alongside academics, work, and building therapeutic skills. I am here to support you no matter where you are in your journey- we can work together to overcome your challenges and create a brighter, healthier, more peaceful you.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

In my therapy practice, I integrate Christian counseling principles to provide a holistic approach that nurtures both emotional healing and spiritual growth. By incorporating Biblical teachings, prayer, and Christian values, I guide clients in exploring their struggles within the context of their faith. I emphasize God's love, forgiveness, and grace, helping individuals find purpose and strength in their relationship with Christ while addressing life’s challenges. This approach fosters a deeper sense of peace and hope, enabling clients to align their emotional well-being with their spiritual beliefs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my therapy practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and unhelpful behaviors. By teaching clients how to reframe distorted thinking and develop healthier coping strategies, CBT empowers them to make practical, lasting changes in their lives. Through structured sessions, clients learn to recognize the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, which helps them break cycles of anxiety, depression, and stress. This evidence-based approach fosters personal growth and emotional resilience, leading to more balanced and positive mental health outcomes.

Faith based therapy

In my therapy practice, I incorporate faith-based practices to support clients in their healing journey, drawing on their spiritual beliefs as a source of strength and guidance. I integrate prayer, scripture, and Christian principles to help clients gain a deeper sense of purpose, hope, and peace in the midst of life's challenges. By addressing emotional and psychological concerns through the lens of faith, I encourage individuals to explore how their relationship with God can provide comfort, direction, and healing. This faith-centered approach fosters a sense of spiritual growth and emotional resilience, helping clients align their mental well-being with their Christian values.

Strength-Based

In my therapy practice, I utilize strength-based practices to help clients recognize and build upon their existing strengths and resources. This approach focuses on empowering individuals by highlighting their resilience, skills, and positive qualities, rather than solely focusing on problems or deficits. By fostering self-awareness and encouraging clients to tap into their inner strengths, I support them in developing confidence and a sense of agency as they work through challenges. This positive, forward-focused approach helps clients feel more capable of managing life’s difficulties and achieving their personal goals.

Trauma-Focused CBT

In my therapy practice, I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients process and heal from the effects of trauma. This evidence-based approach combines elements of cognitive behavioral therapy with trauma-sensitive interventions, helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through TF-CBT, clients learn coping skills, emotional regulation, and how to reframe distressing memories in a safe and supportive environment. By addressing trauma in a structured way, TF-CBT promotes healing, reduces trauma-related symptoms, and empowers clients to regain control over their lives and emotional well-being.
