I am a compassionate, grounded, and collaborative therapist who believes in meeting clients where they are and supporting them at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I bring a steady, practical, and nonjudgmental presence to the therapy space, with a focus on helping people make sense of what they’re experiencing while building skills they can use in daily life. My style is warm but direct, and I aim to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to counseling. We'll review your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, and goals for therapy. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions about the counseling process, and together we'll begin developing a plan that supports your needs and goals. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach combines compassion, collaboration, and practical strategies to help clients create meaningful, lasting change. Drawing on my experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH), I provide comprehensive, client-centered care that addresses the whole person and supports growth, resilience, and overall well-being. My approach is humorous, challenging, and empowering.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected and are looking for practical tools and compassionate support to move forward. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or significant life changes. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to better understand themselves, build resilience, and create a life that aligns with their values, even when the path forward feels uncertain. Through a collaborative and nonjudgmental approach, I help clients develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and make lasting changes that support their well-being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through a collaborative and goal-oriented approach, I support clients in recognizing unhelpful thinking patterns, challenging cognitive distortions, and developing healthier coping strategies. CBT interventions are tailored to each client's needs and focus on building practical skills that promote lasting emotional and behavioral change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility by changing their relationship with difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Rather than focusing on eliminating distress, ACT encourages acceptance of internal experiences while helping clients identify their core values and take meaningful actions aligned with those values. Through mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based interventions, I support clients in building resilience, increasing self-awareness, and creating a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and coping effectively with stress. DBT combines acceptance and change strategies, supporting clients in building mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. Through a structured and collaborative approach, I help clients increase emotional stability, strengthen healthy coping mechanisms, and create meaningful, sustainable changes in their daily lives.
