Hello, my name is Melisa, and I am an experienced therapist with a passion for helping individuals overcome mental health challenges and achieve their full potential. With nearly a decade of experience in the field of mental health, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse clients and gain expertise in various evidence-based therapies. As a therapist, I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without fear of stigma. My approach to therapy is collaborative and tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual. I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy and parent child therapy among other modalities.

I understand the unique challenges that women face in today's society, from navigating relationships and family dynamics to dealing with societal pressures and expectations.

My ultimate goal as a therapist is to empower my clients to make meaningful changes in their lives, improve their relationships, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. I believe in the power of therapy to transform lives, and I am committed to providing the highest quality of care to my clients. If you are seeking support in navigating life's challenges and improving your mental health and well-being, I would be honored to work with you.

First session

During our first session, I will explore your reasons for therapy and will gather information about your symptoms of concern. We will build rapport and get to know one another. We will also create your treatment plan and discuss frequency and length of sessions.

Strengths

My strengths as a therapist lie in my ability to work with women and young female adults. I understand the unique challenges that women face in today's society, from navigating relationships and family dynamics to dealing with societal pressures and expectations. I am passionate about empowering women to overcome these challenges and achieve their full potential. Through my work with young female adults, I have gained a deep understanding of the struggles that this population faces, from anxiety and depression to self-esteem and body image issues.
