LCSW, 8 years of experience
Welcome—I'm so glad you're here and taking the step to prioritize your well-being. With the pressures of the world and our own self-criticism, it can feel impossible to uncover our own self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth. These emotions and feelings can show up in our lives in many different ways. Not wanting to get out bed. Placing limits on yourself due to a fear of failing. The expectations you place on yourself and are given to you by others can feel suffocating. I offer a comfortable space to be allow yourself to be vulnerable and find your strength to lead your life the way you choose. We will work on recognizing patterns of behavior and disrupting negative cycles. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to on track. Life is too short to not give yourself an opportunity to make positive changes in your life. Reaching out to a therapist can be intimidating. The fact that you made it to my profile is a WIN! I hope you can take the time to reach out and schedule an appointment to start this change in your life. I would like to help assist you along your journey.
In our first session, the focus is really on getting to know you. I’ll ask some questions to better understand what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and what’s been getting in the way. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out—this is your space to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. We’ll go at your pace, and I’ll check in with you to make sure the process feels supportive, not overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and not judged—just two humans figuring it out together. By the end of the session, we’ll start identifying what you'd like to focus on moving forward and what support might look like.
A nonjudgmental empathic environment that gives you the space to grow.
I’m best positioned to support young adults who feel stuck under the weight of self-doubt, anxiety, or pressure—whether it’s coming from within or from the outside world. My clients are often navigating major life transitions, questioning their direction, or struggling to feel “enough” in a world that constantly demands more. They might find it hard to get out of bed some days, hesitate to take chances because they’re afraid to fail, or feel overwhelmed by expectations—both their own and others'. If you’re someone who’s ready to break those patterns, rediscover your confidence, and create a life that actually feels like yours, then we’d be a great fit.
MI is especially helpful when clients feel unsure, stuck, or conflicted about making changes. I use this method to explore your ambivalence with curiosity and compassion, never pressure. My role is to help you clarify your goals, reflect on what’s getting in the way, and build your own motivation to take the next steps. Clients often tell me they feel more empowered and less judged because MI respects your pace and inner wisdom.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy plays a key role in my work, particularly with clients who experience avoidance, perfectionism, or emotional overwhelm. I help clients learn how to sit with uncomfortable thoughts and emotions without allowing them to dictate their actions. Together, we focus on clarifying what truly matters to you—your values—and use those as a foundation to guide more intentional choices. I incorporate ACT practices like mindfulness, cognitive defusion, and committed action to help clients live with more emotional flexibility and authenticity.
I regularly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, low self-esteem, and feeling stuck. In our work together, we explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I support clients in recognizing distorted thinking—like catastrophizing or all-or-nothing thinking—and guide them in developing more balanced, realistic ways of thinking. CBT provides a structured and practical approach, giving clients tools they can apply in daily life to support meaningful, consistent progress.
