LCSW, 20 years of experience
I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing for a little over 20 years. I graduated from the University of Southern California, and I have various experience working with youth, families, and adults in multiple settings. My particular specialty is working with adults trying to grow their families, navigating fertility struggles, and seeking different avenues to grow their families such as through foster care or independent adoption. I also support parents as they navigate different stages of parenthood. Although I have a particular speciality with those areas, I love to work with and support adults in all stages of life, especially navigating life transitions and adjustments.
Our first session focuses on building and establishing rapport, for me to create a safe space for you, and for us to mutually create therapeutic goals.
I feel my greatest strength is my ability to create a nurturing, safe, and warm environment in which a client is able to feel open, engaged, and not judged. From there, my clinical strengths come from a wealth of experience working with clients and being able to quickly identify and gauge the most productive therapeutic treatments for them.
I love working with and supporting adults in all stages of life. It is most helpful when a client is engaged and has high motivation to enter the therapeutic process.
I use CBT methods to examine and challenge thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors and shift them to healthier habits and behaviors.
