(she/her)
Hello, I am a licensed independent social worker (LISW) based in Cincinnati, Ohio. I received my Masters from the University of Cincinnati and have 10 years of experience working with teens and young adults with mental health challenges as well as 11 years experience of medical social work working with adults and seniors with both mental health and medical diagnosis. I help women with medical conditions manage their anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-care, to help improve the overall quality of life.
In the first session, we will work on getting to know each other, things you are struggling with, and possible solutions to help with getting closer to and even achieving your desired outcomes. We will develop an agreed upon treatment plan to follow for upcoming sessions.
I have a great deal of experience in working with those with both mental and physical health challenges which has enabled me to gain great insight on how one affects the other. I understand how being ill, being in pain, not being able to do the things that you were once able to do can play a huge role in your mental health, or just wanting to make healthy changes to give your mental health and emotional well-being a boost. I like to consider multiple factors of your life that may impact your mental health while also allowing you to lead the way since you are the expert of you. I have a broad age range of experience from teenagers to seniors and understand their struggles.
I strive to create a comfortable, non-judgmental environment to assist clients with improving their mental health. My clients often suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, anger, and stress. They are interested in and appreciate my holistic approaches of involving lifestyle change strategies that have been proven to improve both mental and physical health outcomes. My clients want to thrive and become their best selves by working on improving mentally, emotionally, and physically. Counseling is a huge step toward improving your quality of life so that you can live a life that you love and are proud of. If that is your goal, I am here to assist you through your healing journey.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will be used to identify negative thinking and behavioral patterns that have a negative impact on your life. The therapist will use strategies to transform those thinking and behavioral patterns into more constructive ones. This treatment is very effective for various mental health and emotional issues.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment therapy will be used to help individuals embrace difficult thought and emotions rather than fighting them. The therapist will use strategies to help align values with actions in spite of the difficult thoughts and emotions to help clients improve their quality of life regardless of life challenges.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Practicing mindfulness enables an individual to focus on living in the present moment, rather than the worries of the future. It helps ease an overactive nervous system (anxiety, inability to focus, heart palpitations, sweating, insomnia, etc). We will practice mindfulness so that you can better manage your life's stressors and improve overall quality of life.
