Hello, my name is Manny, and I’m a licensed mental health therapist with experience dating back to 2021. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working and interning in various settings, including nonprofits, universities, and community mental health agencies, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health challenges. Currently, I specialize in working with adults on an individual basis, focusing on areas such as anxiety, career counseling, relationship and dating concerns, and men’s issues. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their unique challenges and work toward growth and well-being.
In our first session, we will begin by addressing the essential administrative details—how therapy works, what you can expect, and some foundational guidelines to help you make the most of our time together. Once that's covered, we’ll start exploring the reasons that brought you here. Think of our therapy sessions as a journey in a small boat: I’ll hold the flashlight to illuminate the path ahead, but you’ll steer the oar, deciding the direction we take.
My greatest strengths are empathy, kindness, respect, and an emphasis on using evidence-based practice in my work.
My approach is calm, respectful, and empathetic, and I strive to create a space where you can process and grow, while feeling supported. I practice what's called an "eclectic approach," pulling in techniques and methods from different schools of thought. I do often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches in my work.
Mindfulness plays a vital role in the treatment of various mental health conditions. I regularly incorporate mindfulness techniques into anxiety management, helping clients cultivate awareness, resilience, and a sense of calm.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is widely recognized as the gold standard in psychotherapy. I actively integrate its theoretical principles and practical techniques to empower clients in reshaping their perspectives, deepening self-awareness, and gaining better understanding of their emotions
