In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I strive to create a collaborative and supportive therapeutic environment, 1st session will focus on setting clinical goals and treatment goals.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What sets me apart as a provider is my commitment to individualized treatment that prioritizes quality over quantity - especially when it comes to medication. I emphasize the importance of minimizing medication regimen whenever clinically appropriate, focusing instead of holistic, sustainable strategies that support long-term mental wellness.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My background spans a variety of clinical settings - ranging from inpatient to outpatient care - providing me with a broad and nuanced understanding of mental heath challenges at every stage of life. While I have experience working with both adolescents and adults, my clinical focus includes the treatment of anxiety disorders, post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and depressive disorder.

Darina is intelligent, authentic, direct, and warm. I felt listened to and supported. She addressed all of my questions/concerns and made sure I knew what I need to look out for starting a medication. I was a bit nervous coming into my first psychiatric appointment, but the call went great and I am happy with the outcome. It seems like she really cares

Darina Carcerano is one of the best psychiatrists out there. She truly listens to her patients and treats them with dignity. She finds solutions that work for each patient. She knows what she's talking about. She understands psychology and how mental illnesses work. She's never disregarded me or treated me like a "crazy" person. She refilled my medications that were working for me. She doesn't have a big ego, and she doesn't talk down to patients like how other psychiatrists do.
