I founded Chaos Therapy around a simple but radical idea: life is chaotic, the goal isn't to eliminate the chaos from our existence but to find order within it. My approach is integrative and intentionally anarchistic; there's no rigid script or one-size-fits most protocol. Our sessions are collaborative, adaptive, and real. I'm not your typical therapist, and that's by design. With over 20 years in social services, I've worked alongside people in some of the most demanding, complex, and often overlooked corners of human experience, in-patient and in-home therapy, homeless outreach, academic research, and private practice. That breadth isn't just my resume, it's shaped how I think about healing. If you've been told you're too much, too complicated, too sensitive, too far gone, then you are exactly who I built my practice for.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is like a first date, not an intake with a pulse. We'll talk, get a feel for each other, and start building a common language that will carry us through the work. I'll gather some background, we'll sketch out your goals and a rough sense of how we'll achieve them, but the most important thing happening is simpler: are we a good fit? I'm assessing whether I'm genuinely confident that I can help you achieve your goals. I ask you to assess whether you feel comfortable being vulnerable with me. Both things matter equally. If they fit isn't right, we can be honest with each other and I'll help you find someone who is.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is often described as anarchistic. There's no predetermined map, no module to complete before we move on. Instead, we carve the path that gets you to your chosen destination, borrowing from different therapeutic modalities as they fit the moment, not the manual. "How does what's happening today connect to the work we've been doing?" That question sits at the center of every session. Crises get addressed when they arrive; life doesn't wait and neither will we. But they're never treated in isolation. Everything connects back to your core presenting issues and background, and every detour is an opportunity to understand the bigger picture.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Trauma carries many forms and often leads to questioning our own experiences or if their issues are worth discussing. Anyone who feels lost in their own chaos, anyone who feels they need help but don't know how to ask for it, anyone who is uncertain about opening up in a typical therapy environment, those are my ideal clients. How we get to the root of your issues is secondary to making a connection that allows for us to address those issues safely with vulnerability.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

CBT is the standard for working with what we can change, our intentional thoughts and our behaviors. Trauma-focused CBT allows us to take more control over distorted or harmful thoughts and beliefs that were created during traumatic experiences. We'll work together to identify and address the areas you want changed.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is the standard for addressing anxiety and a wide range of other issues causing distress. We'll work to identify areas of distress and address thoughts and behaviors that are creating that distress. If anxiety is holding you back from experiences you desire, we'll create a plan and practice how to achieve your goals.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Sometimes the biggest challenge is processing and understanding what is happening in your own head. I use cognitive processing to work out areas of distress, process trauma in a way that makes it manageable, and help you make sense of some things that are bothering you for seemingly no reason.

Eclectic

I focus my practice on building secure relationships with my clients. Each client is different and has different therapeutic needs. My overall eclectic form allows us to shift away from manualized therapy sessions and focus on doing what works for you in the moment and long-term. We'll work out an agenda that meets your needs.
