12 years of experience

You have chosen to take the first step in seeking out a mental health professional. Whether you are struggling to manage feelings of depression and anxiety, experiencing the stresses of parenthood, or having difficulty coping with emotions and negative thoughts, I am here to help. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with 12 years of experience. I have worked with clients dealing with mood and anxiety disorders, college students, teens and adults on the Autism spectrum, and parents in all stages of their journey. My counseling style is warm and non-judgmental. I believe in meeting you "where you are at" and that therapy should be a collaborative approach, with you as the expert on your life. We will work together to create goals and process through challenges. I look forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal for our first therapy session together is to have you feel heard. I like therapy sessions to feel like a conversation; I will be there to listen, support, and provide insight. I hope to create a safe environment that will allow you to share and open up while we create a positive working relationship. We will work together to create attainable goals and we will discuss progress each week.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. My theoretical orientation is person-centered and I believe everyone can grow and make changes to create a fulfilling life. Sessions will always be tailored to fit your individual needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my biggest strength is empathy and understanding that we are all human and experience challenges in life. I am truly passionate about working with people experiencing life's everyday stressors; parenthood, feelings of anxiety and depression and low-self esteem. I also enjoy working with college students and helping facilitate personal and social growth. I also have many years of experience in treating youth and adults on the Autism spectrum and working with those clients on building relationships and gaining confidence and self-advocacy skills.
