Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or major transitions leave you feeling stuck or unsure of what comes next. I'm a warm, insightful, and engaged therapist who helps adults better understand themselves, recognize patterns, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change aligned with their values, identity, and the life they want.

First session

Our first session is about understanding you as a whole person—not just what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore your current concerns, background, relationships, identity, culture, strengths, and goals at a comfortable pace. You don’t need to have everything figured out. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and clearer about how we can move forward together.

Strengths

I bring warmth, insight, cultural awareness, and genuine engagement to therapy. My style is collaborative and interactive, I listen deeply while offering thoughtful feedback, gentle challenges, practical coping tools, and new perspectives. Together, we’ll explore patterns, build on your strengths, and develop skills to navigate anxiety, stress, relationships, and life transitions with greater clarity and confidence, with encouragement and appropriate humor along the way.

Ideal clients

I work with adults who may feel anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or disconnected—even while appearing to have it all together. You may find yourself overfunctioning, overthinking, doubting yourself, or navigating relationships, career or academic pressures, cultural or family expectations, or a life transition. You’re ready to understand yourself more deeply, make peace with what you can’t change, build confidence and healthier coping skills, find greater meaning, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters to you.

Treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help you relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them or constantly trying to make them disappear. We’ll practice making space for what you cannot change, stepping back from unhelpful thoughts, clarifying your values, and exploring what gives your life meaning. From there, we’ll identify intentional actions that move you toward the person you want to be and the life you want to create.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness through breathing exercises, five-senses grounding, body awareness, and guided imagery to help you slow down and connect with your internal experience. Rather than immediately analyzing or trying to change what you feel, we may first notice thoughts, emotions, and body sensations with curiosity and less judgment. These practices can help you feel more grounded, regulate emotions, strengthen your mind-body connection, and respond more intentionally rather than automatically reacting.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a humanistic, person-centered approach to understand you as a whole person—not simply a diagnosis or set of symptoms. I consider your experiences, identity, culture, values, relationships, and strengths while creating a warm and collaborative space where you can explore openly. I listen deeply while remaining engaged, offering reflection, curiosity, encouragement, and gentle challenge when helpful so you can deepen self-understanding and grow in ways that feel authentic to you.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you recognize how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may contribute to anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, or feeling stuck, examine whether certain thoughts are helpful or accurate, and explore more balanced perspectives. We’ll also practice concrete strategies you can use between sessions to respond differently and create meaningful change in everyday life.

Psychodynamic

I use psychodynamic therapy to help you look beneath the surface and understand how earlier experiences, relationships, family dynamics, and emotional patterns may be influencing your life today. In our conversations, we’ll notice recurring themes, reactions, and relationship patterns and explore where they may come from. This deeper understanding can help you recognize what is driving certain patterns and make more intentional choices in how you relate to yourself and others.
