Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will explore current concerns and symptoms, background history, and current life circumstances. We will discuss what the your goals are and what you hope to gain from therapy. We will discuss policies and what to expect during future sessions, as well as how often you would like to be seen for sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked as a therapist for over 10 years I have learned to meet clients where they are at and take things at the pace that makes them as comfortable as possible so that therapy really is their space.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Most of my clients have decided that there is an area of their life that they would like to work on, something they are stuck on, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious, and are sometimes struggling to manage their emotions as they work through their goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT with clients for 10+ years. CBT helps to focus on the core beliefs and thoughts that our behaviors and feelings may be stemming from.

Couples Counseling

I am trained in SYMBIS for engaged or newly married couples who are looking for couples counseling from a preventative perspective, as well as traditional couples counseling for couples who are in relationships who are experiencing issues they would like to work through.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have been using mindfulness techniques with clients for 10+ years. Mindfulness exercises help us to stay focused on the present moment. Mindfulness helps people to gain a greater awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

Strength-Based

Strength Based treatment is most often used for people who are trying to explore trauma history. It allows for the focus of treatment to be with an emphasis on you as a survivor and the strengths you used to get though the trauma/s experienced.

Psychodynamic

I have been using this form of treatment with clients for 10+ years. It is primarily used to treat depression, most helpful for those who feel that they have lost meaning in their lives.
