Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I received my Masters in Social Work from Fordham University in NYC. I work with adults who are currently experiencing depression and/or anxiety to help them discover the root of their concerns so that they can become the best versions of themselves. Since every individual is so unique, I use an individualized approach in talk therapy to help you overcome your challenges by gaining new coping skills and new ways to think about your situation.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

If you are using insurance, companies require that our first session be an "intake" session (not a formal therapy session). I will ask you many questions, including your symptoms, a description of your personal challenges, and the length of time you have been experiencing these challenges. We will also delve into your family history and other personal information, such as any physical health concerns in order to create a tailored plan for your care in future sessions. I will also share about the treatment modalities I use to help you on your journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, my greatest strengths lie in my ability to balance compassion with accountability. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to be real about their struggles while also challenging them to grow. I work best with clients who are ready to do the work- those who understand that healing takes time, therapy will be hard at times, and showing up consistently and practicing the skills learned is part of the process. I use a solution-focused approach grounded in evidence-based practices like ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). My clients often appreciate that I don't just listen and that I offer practical tools, honest feedback, and education to help them apply what they’re learning outside of sessions. I believe in equipping people to move forward with clarity, confidence, and real change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults who have faced life challenges and are ready to grow, heal, and move forward. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, experiencing anxiety, sadness, or even hormonal shifts related to perimenopause. Some are working through past trauma, while others are simply feeling stuck and want more out of life. What they all share is a desire to improve- to understand themselves better, apply new tools, and show up more fully in their own lives. I offer a supportive space to process pain, build resilience, and make meaningful changes using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and solution-focused strategies.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help my clients understand how underlying negative thoughts affect their day-to-day lives and overall functioning. We then explore how these thoughts have impacted their lives so that we can focus on the areas they want to seek improvements in.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Our culture and upbringing affect our feelings, thoughts, and moods. Using culturally sensitive therapy, we will explore how culture impacts who we are today. We will explore thoughts, choices, behavioral patterns, etc.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT in my treatment method to help teach clients how they can self regulate their emotions, explore patterns of behavior that do not serve them and learn healthier ways to cope with everyday challenges.

Christian Counseling

Some of my clients incorporate faith in their treatment to explore coping with everyday challenges and strengthen their spiritual connection. Research shows that this holistic approach leads to better treatment outcomes and lifelong healing.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness based therapy to teach clients how to feel calmer, become aware of their bodies' reactions to stress, and relax. Some of my favorites are the 4-7-8 breathing technique and "mindful minutes" (60 seconds of visualization).
