About me

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University. I’ve been in practice for seven years and specialize in helping individuals of all ages navigate anxiety and the everyday stressors of life. I’m passionate about walking alongside my clients as they work through their fears and challenges, empowering them to become the person they were created to be. For clients who desire it, I also incorporate faith-based principles into the therapeutic process, offering a space where both emotional and spiritual growth can take place. My approach to therapy is primarily supportive and grounded in a faith-based perspective. I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and encouraged. I often incorporate biblical guidance to help individuals make sense of the trials and stressors that come with being human, offering both emotional support and spiritual insight. Whether you're facing anxiety, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, my goal is to walk alongside you—helping you find peace, clarity, and purpose through both practical strategies and faith-based reflection.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll review your intake form, get to know one another, and begin discussing the challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to help you overcome those challenges and work toward your goals. In future sessions, we’ll continue to monitor your progress, adjusting our approach as needed to ensure you’re moving forward and getting the support you need to thrive.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With extensive experience working with children and adults who experience anxiety, I have developed a wide range of effective strategies to help reduce and manage anxiety. I work collaboratively with individuals to identify the underlying sources of their anxiety so we can determine the most appropriate strategies for addressing it. My goal is to empower you with the tools and confidence needed to regain control and move forward with your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am passionate about working with children and young adults. I spent five years in a school system as a mental health provider and coordinator before transitioning into private practice. Many of my clients are highly motivated and eager to take on the world but may struggle with confidence. Together, we work to build self-confidence and develop the tools needed to achieve personal, academic, and professional goals.

My treatment methods

Faith based therapy

My approach to faith-based therapy integrates biblical truth with evidence-based therapeutic practices to support both your emotional and spiritual well-being. For clients who desire to incorporate their Christian faith into the counseling process, we can explore how Scripture, prayer, and your relationship with God can provide comfort, guidance, healing, and renewed hope. Together, we will work through life’s challenges while creating a space where your faith is not only welcomed, but can be an important part of your journey toward growth and healing.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I love using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful or troubling thought patterns and develop practical tools to challenge and reframe them. My goal is to help you recognize that while you may not always be able to control what happens to you, you can learn to take back power over how you respond to negative thinking.

Christian Counseling

If you choose to have Christian values at the core of your therapy, I will thoughtfully integrate your faith, values, and biblical teachings into the counseling process. Together, we can use these principles to enhance your therapeutic experience, navigate mental health challenges, and support both emotional healing and spiritual growth. My goal is to create a space where your faith is welcomed as an important part of your journey toward healing and a deeper walk with Christ.

Supportive

My approach to supportive therapy centers on creating a safe, steady, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I focus on emotional validation, strengthening coping skills, and helping clients make sense of their experiences while navigating stress, anxiety, and relational challenges. I work collaboratively to identify unhelpful thought patterns, increase insight, and reinforce existing strengths. For clients with anxiety, I help differentiate perceived versus actual threat and build tolerance for uncertainty. When addressing relational wounds, I support emotional processing at a safe pace while clarifying boundaries, forgiveness, and reconciliation when relevant. Overall, my style is warm, engaged, and practical, with the goal of helping clients feel more grounded, confident, and capable of managing their lives outside of session.

Maggie was able to help me come up with a long term plan to help with my conflicts in a christ-like, christian manner that will help myself and my entire family for years to come. She was warm, open minded, compassionate, and understanding to my issues that I have been dealing with, and I felt like I was talking to a friend rather than a therapist, which made me feel way more comfortable and able to talk more openly.
