I have had the opportunity to join individuals on their life journeys for over 20 years. Each of my clients is empowered to identify their personal therapy goals. When we work in tandem, we are able to move barriers and redefine our lives. During much of my career I have worked with adolescents and young adults experiencing trauma, community challenges, family and educational concerns. I also have extensive experience providing therapy to individuals with substance use disorder. I provide a safe therapy environment for individuals of all ethnicities, religions and genders.
I utilize the first therapy session as an opportunity for the client and I to become familiar with each other. During this time we review basic therapy expectations. I encourage clients to share relevant personal and family history. The individual and I identify goals for therapy. Clients have the option to determine if we are a "good fit" for one another.
I am an open and affirming therapist. I ensure each of my client's is treated as the unique individual they are.
The clients I work with often find it difficult to identify coping techniques to manage current life circumstances. They may have experienced recent trauma or are contemplating a significant life change.

I have utilized CBT throughout my career. The concepts are easy to understand and can be utilized for a variety of behavioral health conditions.
