Hello! I’m Carter Montgomery, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I earned my Master’s degree from University of North Florida. I've worked with children, adolescents, and young adults, supporting them through anxiety, OCD, trauma, depression, and life’s many adjustments and transitions. I’m here to join you on your journey, to help bring compassion, support, and care. I love being able to incorporate your interests and creative arts into counseling.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will explore your concerns, hopes, and start to get to know each other. We will review expectations, desires for counseling, and how we can work together effectively. It is a space where we focus on you and it can be whatever you need it to be. You know your life better than anyone else will.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Clients I've worked with have enjoyed the different creative and expressive interventions to explore their goals, especially related to emotional expression, processing emotions, and learning new skills.

I take an individualized approach to each person, adapting to fit the needs you bring the to table. I've worked with elementary schoolers to high schoolers entering into college, providing a space to process their emotions and helping them gain skills.
