My name is Aesha Lomas. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in South Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. I am a graduate of Nova Southeastern University and I have been practicing for 9 years. I have extensive training and experience working with adolescents and adults, including those who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, suicidality, other mental health diagnoses, and co-occurring disorders. My therapeutic approach aims to identify and address the underlying causes of coping difficulties and mental health concerns.

Welcome! My counseling practice is in Wheaton, Illinois and I am also licensed in Florida. I have a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and a doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision. In addition to private practice, I serve as professor in the counseling graduate program at National Louis University in the Chicago area where I teach all foundational theory and research-based courses.

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), I specialize in providing comprehensive therapy for both mental health and substance use concerns. I work with individuals to address emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues, using evidence-based approaches to promote healing and personal growth. My role also involves supervising and guiding other counselors to ensure high-quality care and support in their professional development.
