I work with women who are transitioning to motherhood and are learning how to be themselves within their new role. Many of my clients are experiencing a difficult transition to their new role as a mom. They are finding their way into their new identity, feeling as though they have lost their past self, identity, and freedom. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Therapist in California. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of San Diego and my Masters of Social Work at Azusa Pacific University. I have been working as a therapist for 11 years and have experience working with children, families, and individuals to address mental health needs. I specialize in working with postpartum women. I have my Perinatal Mental Health Certification from Postpartum Support International. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which helps to address and heal trauma. I have worked with many individuals who have a history of traumatic experiences in their lives and utilized EMDR to assist in reprocessing their experiences. Hello, I am Jennifer. I am a licensed therapist with over 25 years of experience supporting people of all ages through various transitions and challenges. I offer a unique approach to mental health that integrates clinical therapy with moderate physical exercise in the great outdoors. I focus on helping people with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress/burnout, infertility and alcohol misuse while increasing nourishing habits such as exercise, sleep, nutrition, and other practices that reduce symptoms and calm the nervous system. Have you ever wished you could get in-person therapy without having to sit in an office with the therapist? Do you feel too busy to schedule both therapy and exercise into one day and wish the two could be combined? If so, then "walk and talk" could be a good fit for you. I offer the opportunity to receive counseling or coaching while outside in nature and moving your body. Research demonstrates that both exercise and spending time outdoors in sunlight and green spaces provides a reduction in symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and stress while improving mood overall. My unique "walk and talk" method addresses all three aspects of healing and growth: physical, psychological, and spiritual. Have you found yourself wondering if you are drinking too much and/or too often? Are you tired of experiencing low energy, anxiety, depression, disrupted sleep, sugar cravings, etc. and you wish you had a coach to support you as you navigate a new way of living alcohol free? If you are sober curious, I am here to help!

Hi there, I'm Alicia. Are you feeling lost or stuck in some aspect of your life and finding it hard to move forward? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? With your permission, I help to hold the container for deeper exploration and healing. I am a trauma-based therapist trained in EMDR, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I believe that each of us possesses an internal source of wisdom that can be cultivated through psychotherapy, psychedelic medicines, meditation practices, yoga and other connecting practices that link the brain, body and spirit. My therapeutic approach has a foundation of mindfulness and compassion, curiosity and respect. I often use EMDR as an evidence-based approach to working with trauma and other challenges. I am sensitive to the impact of one's social, physical and cultural environment as well as systems of oppression. Clients say my approach is warm, relational, collaborative, strengths-based and trauma-informed. I cannot do the work for you, but I can help you along the way, and it is truly an honor and a joy for me.

Change is stressful and adolescence is a period of enormous change - especially so these days with the pandemic, social media, gender politics, and looming concerns about the future. Many, many teens today feel overwhelmed by pressure. Struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, relationship problems, drugs, alcohol and academic problems is common. The National Institute of Mental Health reports that by 2021 49.5% of adolescents in the U.S. had a mental disorder, with females, LGBTQIA, and multiracial individuals at the highest risk. If you are a teen or the parent of a teen in pain and looking for a way forward, I can help. I began work as a counseling psychotherapist in 1994. Since then I've helped many adolescents, adults, couples, and parents ease their suffering and overcome problems such as these. My effectiveness as a helper comes from 1) listening carefully to understand your concerns and experience 2) non-judgementally accepting you as you are 3) knowing that you are the expert on you and planning treatment collaboratively with you to achieve your goals. 4) Providing the tools of skills training and coaching to empower you to heal and thrive For me, it's all about knowing that my clients don't need to be fixed. They need to be understood, accepted, provided with effective tools for solving their problems and trusted to overcome their difficulties in a way that works for them so they can feel better, function better and begin living life as they choose to. My approach is straightforward and built on compassion and evidence-based techniques.

Honesty, integrity, insight, awareness, knowledge, relief and resolutions are what you'll get with me. I believe the theraputic process is organic and our sessions will unfold overtime, focusing on getting you to a place where you can think clearly, understand yourself better and feel solid. I am an out of the box thinker and doer with full acceptance for all lifes wonders. Differences are appealing and I welcome them with open arms, encouraging you to be your absolute self %100 of the time. If you need a jump start, help figuring out what makes you tick, what makes you happy, what your authentic self needs to thrive, I'd love to work with you. Life throws curve balls that can be annoying, frustrating, shocking at times. I get it because I've been there. It's ok and healthy to ask for help. My specialties include insight oriented talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused and strategic therapy. My history is working with adults who have depression and anxiety, relationship distress, anger management issues, trauma histories, existential crisis and have co-occurring disorders which require medication treatment. I work with couples who seek help communicating and bringing the love back into their relationship. I provide psycho-education and real life solutions to problems that seem unsolvable at face value, but with that one tweak, you find out they were solvable all along. I fully believe in the connection between body and mind and weave differing modalities into therapy in order to address each component of healing and wellness. Often we don't realize that just one simple tweak can launch you into the lifetime you want. Are you struggling with personal challenges affecting your relationships, work, social life and, most importantly, yourself. Do you miss that hope, that loving feeling for your partner or your kids? Complex, yet common, issues around love, family, purpose in life, and doing what truly makes you happy, have become overwhelming and you’re ready to do something different. Are you feeling underwhelmed? You may have recently undergone a loss, job change, life change, a psychiatric or medical emergency, and are feeling completely stuck. I believe your truth is in you, and my role of therapist is to provide emotional support, insight, and to help you navigate through past and present so you can have the future you deserve.
