Hello. I'm Robin. Are you feeling overwhelmed? Taking care of everyone and forgetting yourself ? Struggling with life changes? Do you need to regroup and refocus? Sometimes it's helpful to have a sounding board to help us through these times. Our sessions will be a safe place where you can be you. A space to laugh, cry or let off that steam that builds up in our buy lives. By utilizing talk therapy, relaxation techniques and focusing on thoughts that may be holding you back, we can free you from feeling stuck. My style is laid back, supportive and nonjudgmental. I have worked with clients who have experienced stressful times, such as when dealing with illness, end of life or experiencing major life changes. These difficult days may bring on anxiety, depression or fear of what lies ahead. I hope my education and experience can help you cope through these times. I believe you already have the tools to take you to where you want to be. Through working collaboratively, we will uncover your strengths and skills, as well as, add a few more, so that you'll have what it takes to face the challenges and to celebrate the wins. I look forward to being a part of your journey to your 'better days'.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions. Then we'll discuss why you chose to start therapy and what you hope to gain. Then we'll dive right into specific challenges you are facing . This will help us to create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My experience and education is in areas of life changes, illness, grief and loss. Change is difficult. Grief can be overwhelming and it can hold us back from taking our next steps. I hope to be that supportive partner in your process. I have a good sense of humor ( laughter is definitely healing!) and am comfortable with the tears. I hope to hold a safe space and to partner with you as you move forward.

We'll focus on the power of positive self talk and how that can help shape our thoughts, feelings and actions.

Grief Therapy

"Grieving doesn't make you imperfect. It makes you human." -Sarah Dessen Together we will work through the stages of grief. We'll focus on acceptance of loss, find ways to maintain a connection to our loved one and ways to move forward with life.

Compassion Focused

It's important that we learn to accept ourselves. Compassion focus therapy helps us to accept who are and focus on where we want to be.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Much of our lives is spent focused on our thoughts, worries, concerns and not with the 'here and now'. Through mindfulness techniques such as breath work and awareness exercises we are able to reduce worry, anxiety and depression .

Strength-Based

Your success rate of getting through tough days is already 100% ! By focusing on our innate strengths we can face challenges and overcome them.
