I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping individuals and families cope and thrive living with a chronic illness or diagnosis. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, and Family and Couples Counseling strategies. I believe that therapy is a partnership. I am here to help you set goals, identify challenging areas in your life, and test out new ways of thinking and managing your life's challenges. Your well-being and success are most important to me. I am committed to encouraging, empowering, and supporting you. There is no problem too big or too trivial. Confidentiality and respect are my top priority.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a get to know each other session. While I provide questionnaires for you ahead of time, I like to discuss your responses to those questionnaires in our first meeting. At this time, we will get acquainted and begin to think about what you would like to work on in future sessions with me.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a provider is that I have a wealth of experience helping people cope with chronic pain and chronic illnesses, which can cause depression and isolation. This is an area that often goes unnoticed and unaddressed. I understand that mental and physical wellness go hand in hand. I'm here to help you gain tools to accomplish what is reasonable for "you."

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am committed to mental wellness for all people, and I prioritize creating and maintaining a safe space for you. Mental and emotional wellness is achievable, and everyone deserves to live a joyful, peaceful, and productive life...and this looks different for each individual or family.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utillize CBT often with individuals who experience depression and anxiety because of it is evidenced-based and helps individuals with lifelong skills to manage future challenges. This skills-based method is useful for participants to use for a lifetime.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT can help you to reframe your problems or life's challenges and channel them in a more positive light. I also use DBT techniques such as calming methods, mindfulness, and breathwork to help you channel your emotions.
