Treatment methods
Psychoeducation
🧠 Psychoeducation Understanding your mental health can make treatment feel less overwhelming and help you make confident decisions about your care. I bring over 15 years of clinical experience to my work with adolescents and adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, mood and personality disorders, trauma-related concerns, and insomnia. Psychoeducation is a central part of my approach. I explain symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment options in clear, practical language, connecting what we discuss to your everyday experiences. Together, we explore how attention, mood, sleep, stress, and physical health can influence one another—and what may help. When medication is appropriate, I discuss its purpose, expected benefits, potential side effects, and how we’ll monitor your response. I also integrate supportive psychotherapy and CBT-informed strategies to help you recognize unhelpful patterns, manage emotions, strengthen coping skills, and address challenges with organization, motivation, and follow-through. Your questions and preferences matter. Whether you’re beginning treatment or reassessing what has worked in the past, we’ll develop a personalized plan that supports your goals. My aim is for you to feel informed, supported, and equipped with practical tools you can use beyond our appointments.
