Hello, I'm Diana Price. I am a doctoral prepared, dual certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With a diverse clinical background in family medicine and psychiatry, I create personalized treatment plans that support both your physical and emotional wellness. My integrative approach combines therapy, medication management, nutrition, supplements, movement, and lifestyle strategies to help you feel like yourself again. I offer in-person office visits in Abilene, TX and virtual visits across the state of Texas.
In our initial session, we’ll spend time getting to know you and or your child. We’ll talk about your concerns, explore emotional and behavioral patterns, and begin to understand how your family’s story fits together. By the end, you’ll walk away with a clearer picture of what’s going on and a roadmap for how I can help—whether that includes therapy, lifestyle changes, or medication support. During this visit we will discuss the following: A comprehensive assessment that includes the patient's spiritual, cultural, physical/medical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Review of all previous records, labs and diagnostics (prior to initial appointment), completion of screening tools, in depth interview of family and personal medical, mental health and environmental history, review of mental health medication history noting of any negative responses including any supplements, discussion of patients concerns, expectations, requests, review of diagnosis and education regarding diagnosis, medication, deprescribing, nutrition, supplements and therapy recommendations. Together we will collaboratively create a treatment plan with step by step written instructions that will be reviewed and given to the patient/parent at completion of appointment.
As both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I’m able to merge my skill sets and offer holistic, integrative medicine. A FNP is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who specializes in providing primary and preventative healthcare to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. A PMHNP is also an APRN that is able to assess, diagnose, treat, and improve a wide range of mental disorders, with any patient from early childhood to late adulthood. I will investigate the reasons why a person is experiencing their symptoms, what is causing the symptoms and appropriately treat them. I offer different modalities, give more options to treating and collaboratively devise treatment plans. I have always said knowledge is power and educating ourselves offers another way to treat our symptoms. I truly enjoy educating people about diagnosis, treatments, medications, preventative measures and what to expect. I believe sometimes less is more and if there is a medication or supplement that can treat both medical and mental health diagnosis, I recommend that. Merging my healthcare experience, I can help those who are living with a chronic health condition, or one who is coming to terms with a new diagnosis or condition, and needing the mental support to process this information but also readjust their lifestyle to better support their physical and mental health. Including but not limited to thyroid conditions, Diabetes, IBS and reflux.
With over 30 years of nursing experience and 12 years as a nurse practitioner, I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan. My clinical focus includes supporting those navigating complex trauma, co-occurring conditions, and persistent mental health challenges. I help kids, teens, and adults with anxiety, mood disorders and mental health challenges regain control of their thoughts, improve focus and follow-through, boost self-esteem, and build healthier relationships. Through a holistic integrative approach, restore energy and support emotional resilience, empowering them to lead a healthier balanced life.
