New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who works with adults navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, career concerns, burnout, and life transitions. My approach is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping clients build clarity, healthier perspectives, and meaningful forward movement. I especially enjoy working with professionals, husbands, fathers, and individuals who feel pressure to “hold it all together” while struggling internally. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients can process challenges, develop effective coping strategies, and create lasting change.
The first session is focused on understanding what’s bringing you to therapy, what feels stuck, and what you would like to see improve. We’ll discuss current stressors, important background information, patterns that may be affecting your mood or relationships, and the goals you want to work toward. My approach is practical, conversational, and collaborative. I aim to help clients gain clarity, develop useful strategies, and begin making meaningful progress rather than simply staying focused on problems alone.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is helping clients gain clarity about patterns that may be keeping them stuck while also focusing on practical forward movement and meaningful change. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and direct without being judgmental. I often work with individuals who appear to be functioning well on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed, discouraged, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves and others. I use a blend of solution-focused strategies, cognitive and behavioral approaches, motivational interviewing, and values-based work to help clients better understand themselves, improve relationships, regulate stress and emotions more effectively, and move toward a healthier and more balanced life. I work especially well with professionals, husbands, fathers, and individuals who feel pressure to constantly perform, provide, or “hold it all together.”
I work best with adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, career concerns, burnout, self-doubt, or major life transitions. Many of my clients are professionals, husbands, fathers, or men who feel pressure to perform, provide, or hold everything together while struggling internally. My approach is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping clients build clarity, momentum, healthier perspectives, and meaningful change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a solution-focused approach to help clients identify practical steps forward rather than staying stuck in problems alone. Therapy often focuses on building momentum, clarifying goals, identifying strengths, and creating realistic changes that fit a client’s life and values.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work to identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical coping and problem-solving strategies.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients respond more effectively to difficult thoughts, emotions, and stress rather than feeling controlled by them. ACT also emphasizes identifying personal values and building a life that feels meaningful, purposeful, and aligned with what matters most.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore ambivalence, strengthen motivation, and make meaningful changes at their own pace. My approach is collaborative and nonjudgmental, with an emphasis on helping clients identify what personally matters to them and build momentum toward lasting change.
Christian Counseling
For clients who desire it, I can incorporate Christian faith and spirituality into the counseling process. This may include exploring themes such as meaning, purpose, identity, forgiveness, relationships, and values within the context of a client’s personal beliefs and faith background.
