Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a relaxed conversation where you can share what’s been going on and what you hope to change. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your goals, symptoms, and stressors, and together we’ll create a clear plan for moving forward. Patients report that they leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel my biggest strengths include making patients feel comfortable and empowered. I love watching self-growth for my patients and pride myself in providing the tools for you to become your best self!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with a wide range of clients and take pride in maintaining a diverse client portfolio. I am well-positioned to support individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences, and I welcome a variety of diagnoses, concerns, and therapy goals. Whether someone is seeking support for anxiety, mood-related concerns, ADHD, life transitions, or overall personal growth, I strive to create a collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental space tailored to each individual’s unique needs. My approach is flexible and personalized, allowing me to meet clients where they are and help them move toward meaningful, sustainable progress.

My treatment methods

Supportive

Supportive psychotherapy is the heartbeat of my work. With years of experience helping patients navigate everything from anxiety and depression to major life transitions, I focus on creating a space where you feel truly heard and understood. My sessions are collaborative and compassionate - grounded in practical tools that help you build confidence, resilience, and emotional balance. I blend empathy with evidence-based care so you leave each session feeling supported, empowered, and ready to take on what’s next.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help clients slow down and become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and reactions without judgment. By practicing simple techniques like grounding, breathing exercises, and present-moment awareness, clients can learn to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and respond to challenges more calmly. I often integrate mindfulness with medication management and other evidence-based treatments to support overall emotional balance and practical coping in everyday life.

I met with, Michael Kitzmiller, after needing to switch providers. The appointment was an initial consultation to establish care and discuss my situation. Overall, the experience felt open-minded and nonjudgmental. Michael Kitzmiller listened to my concerns and was receptive to what I was saying. I appreciated that the approach was calm and respectful, which made it easy to communicate and share information. My first impression was positive, and I feel comfortable continuing care with her.

This is only my second session with Micheal and she has already made a huge positive change in my life. Even after just the first session, she made me feel like I wasn't going through this alone and always provides a safe place to share how I'm feeling. She is as determined as I am with making me feel better. I can't thank her enough for giving me the space to talk about hard things and support me through listening and making sure my medications are working the best for me.

It was so nice meet Micheal! I was anxious about getting back into meds after so many years away from it but this was such a refreshing appointment. She was so open to hear about my experiences and came up with a great game plan immediately. Would super recommend!
