Welcome! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in CA. I received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco and have over ten years of experience supporting adults through grief, life transitions, spiritual questions, and identity shifts. I offer focused, short-term therapy designed to help you move through a specific issue in a clear and intentional way. Together, we identify one primary area of concern and work toward meaningful movement within 6–10 sessions. My approach is deep yet efficient — helping you access insight, emotional clarity, and practical change without staying in therapy indefinitely. My practice hours are Monday–Friday, 10:00am–2:00pm (Pacific Time). I do not offer early morning, evening, or weekend sessions at this time. If these hours do not work for your schedule, I encourage you to find a therapist whose availability better supports your needs.
In our first session, we’ll clarify what’s bringing you in and define a concrete goal for our work together. We’ll explore relevant history, current stressors, and strengths — but with an eye toward forward movement. By the end of our first few sessions, you’ll have: A clear focus for our work Insight into underlying patterns Practical tools you can begin applying right away My intention is that you leave each session feeling grounded, clearer, and equipped with direction — not just processing, but progressing.
I create a safe and grounded space where we can move efficiently into the core of what’s keeping you stuck. Using cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and an integrative approach, I help clients identify the key beliefs, emotional patterns, and nervous system responses driving their current challenge. Rather than long-term open exploration, we work strategically — identifying leverage points that create meaningful shifts. Clients often experience noticeable clarity and momentum within a relatively short time.
I work best with clients who: Are ready to focus on one primary issue Are motivated for change Appreciate both emotional depth and practical tools Want structured support without committing to long-term therapy Many of my clients have done therapy before and are now looking for a focused container to work through a specific transition, stuck pattern, grief experience, or life decision. My goal is to help you create measurable movement around the issue bringing you in — whether that’s navigating a life transition, processing grief, shifting a relationship pattern, or reconnecting to your sense of clarity and direction. We work in a defined arc, typically 6–10 sessions, with the understanding that you can return in the future if another focused issue arises.

In addition to being a licensed therapist, I draw from earth-based and experiential healing practices to support whole-person change — mind, body, and nervous system. Our work blends: Targeted talk therapy Cognitive reframing Somatic awareness Mindfulness practices Values clarification The goal is not just insight, but embodied change you can sustain beyond therapy.
Using CBT, we identify the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connected to your current challenge. You’ll learn practical strategies to interrupt old cycles and develop new patterns that align with your values and goals.
The body often reveals what the mind alone cannot. We use brief, accessible somatic tools to increase emotional regulation, reduce reactivity, and build internal stability — especially helpful when working through stress or trauma-related patterns within a short-term framework.

Kim is really good at holding a safe and non-judgmental space. She is very empathetic and kind. She is also very insightful and gives great input and ideas, while maintaining a neutral space for me to find my own answers. She is very good at what she does.
