In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, and then dive into the challenges you are currently facing. We will explore strategies to help you cope with these challenges, and then create a plan together for future sessions.

My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I believe in the power of empathy and active listening to create a supportive therapeutic relationship with my clients. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can openly express your feelings and concerns, without fear of being misunderstood or judged.

If you find yourself stuck in a negative cycle in your life, it may be helpful to explore the role that your thoughts, feelings, and actions play so that you can break out of that cycle. I can help to empower you to create new patterns of thinking, that will impact your feelings and create new ways of being.

Trauma Informed Care

Often in therapy, past trauma is brought to the surface, and explored in a safe, compassionate space. As a trauma informed therapist, I am aware of your triggers, taking note of body language, and promoting holistic, person-centered, culturally aware, and strengths-based care. Healing can begin when you are safe to explore these experiences.
