I strive to create a safe, supportive space where we can explore the challenges that come with self-doubt, uncertainty, and the impact of past or present circumstances. Through an empathic and thought-provoking process, I invite dialogue that nurtures insight, self-awareness, and growth which leads to new perspectives, healing, and personal development. Healing Begins with Your Story. Whether you're healing from trauma or loss, making sense of life’s experiences, or navigating a major transition, seeking guidance is a powerful first step toward feeling better and achieving your goals
Therapy begins with getting to know one another. Finding the right fit can take time but it's important in order to achieve the best outcome. In the first session, we'll talk about what brings you to therapy and get a sense of your needs. I'll answer any questions you have about what I bring to the space and as well as any about the therapeutic process. If it seems life a good fit, more specific goals can be determined over the next few sessions.
Therapists are human beings too. I've struggled with many of the life events and challenges which you may be facing right now. My own experience of the benefits from the support available is what brought me to this work. I also bring lived and professional experience in areas such as aging, hospice, in-patient psychiatric, residential care, and working with marginalized communities.
I strongly believe in the strength and resilience of the human spirit. We all stumble at times—lose our center and struggle to find our balance again. But within each of us lies the capacity to heal, grow, and create the life we want. I work best with spiritually minded growth-oriented individuals with a capacity to explore. The possibilities begin with you. Envision the life you desire. Imagine what’s possible. I’m here to support you on the path.
Our thoughts and emotions are directly connected to our behavior. By understanding this model, we can challenge negative thoughts, alter behaviors & improve emotional responses.
Narrative therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on helping us understand our life through the stories we tell about ourself. We are not defined by our problems, but rather by the narratives we construct around our experiences. By externalizing the problem and exploring alternative, more empowering narratives, we can gain a sense of agency and rewrite our life story.
Mindfulness therapy is a type of therapy that integrates mindfulness practices, like meditation and breathing exercises, with therapeutic techniques to help individuals become more aware of the present moment and reduce automatic responses to thoughts and feelings. It promotes non-judgmental awareness of thoughts and emotions, ultimately leading to improved emotional regulation and overall well-being.
