(she/her)
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional, cognitive, and behavioral challenges. I specialize in trauma-informed care, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I work collaboratively with clients to identify the core source of their distress, create goals, and work toward desired outcomes. I integrate evidence-based practices to assist individuals in building resilience, process difficult experiences, and move toward meaningful change. I use a variety of psychological, psychosocial, and somatic interventions to assist individuals in reducing, managing, or eliminating symptoms.
During the first session, individuals can expect a very relaxed interaction. I will discuss confidentiality and limitations, risk and benefits of individual therapy, exploration of individual safety, and completion of a diagnostic assessment. I also have an expectation of individuals being able to verbalize why they are seeking therapy at this time and what they hope to accomplish in our work together.
I consider myself- a nurturing empath who works toward honoring differences and prioritizes safety and accountability. I understand trauma both personally and professionally, as well as how trauma impacts thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We'll work together to recognize and address triggers, bring to awareness consequences of actions or inactions, filter distractions, control impulses, strengthen executive functioning, explore cause and effect, consider alternative solutions and perspectives, and finding practical ways to strengthen these skills. Our work together will be interactive, empowering, and meaningful.
My ideal clients are adults who are seeking a safe, collaborative space to better understand themselves, process trauma, and move toward healing and greater self-compassion. I enjoy working with people who are ready to explore their stories with curiosity and courage. As a trauma therapist, I value creating space where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported throughout their healing journey.
