My ideal clients are open to sharing their lives with me. They are open to education and exploring treatment plans that suit their needs. My goal is to provide options for patients to be empowered, and develop indivualized treatment plans that lead to increased phsycial/mental health well being. In addition to practicing Western medicine, I am passionate about nutritional/integrative psychiatry. Integrative pscyhiatry is the practice of complementary and traditional treatment. Nutritional psychiatry focuses on the impact of our gut /brain connection. Typically, the Western Diet is nutrient poor, creating negative effects to our physical body which often leads to increased mental health symptoms. I practice in an open, nonjudgmental way. You are encouraged to bring your highest authentic and a desire to committ to your mental health well being. If patients are not committed to regularly scheduled appts, we will not be a good fit. Inconsistency does not allow for effective therapeutic rapport and disrupts treatment planning. Please note: I do not prescribe stimulants, benzodizapenes or any controlled substances. Additionally, I do not supply FLMA/disability forms unless you have been my patient for at least 6 months.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial inake, I will gather information about your history, childhood, history of trauma, current stressors and functioning. Our first intake is typically an hour in length. After our first intake, (if started on pharmaceuticals) you will be seen again in 2 weeks for follow up. Patients can expect to be seen thereafter every 4-6 weeks on average. Throughout your treatment time, we will reassess your fuctioning through reported symptoms and screening tools.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

In addition to medication, I use brief supportive counseling, offering non-pharmacological interventions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is my value of your lived experience. I want to know you as a person, not simply a diagnosis. I want my patients to feel knowledgeable and informed about their treatment options. I also want to know if patients have tried treatments in the past that they found helpful! I specialize in depression, anxiety, and mood disorders, ADHD.
