New to Grow
I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida, and I have over 20 years of combined experience working with children, teens, and adults across special education, school counseling, and mental health settings. My clinical focus includes supporting clients in developing a greater self-awareness, including insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also foster a therapeutic environment that encourages open expression while promoting the development of practical coping strategies for daily functioning.
The first session focuses on building rapport and setting goals for a individualized treatment plan. Ongoing sessions help clients develop skills to manage stress, increase self-awareness, and respond to challenges with greater clarity and effectiveness.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is that I balance evidence-based methods with a highly individualized, collaborative style. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all process. I tailor therapy to each person’s goals, personality, strengths, and lived experiences. My work is grounded in approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy, while also emphasizing practical tools clients can use in everyday life. Clients often describe my style as warm, direct, nonjudgmental, and engaging. I strive to create a space where people feel both supported and challenged in productive ways. Many clients report improvements in self-awareness, emotional regulation, anxiety reduction, relationship dynamics, and overall resilience. Above all, I see therapy as a partnership, one that helps clients feel understood while also empowering them to make meaningful, lasting change.
I work well with clients who want more than quick coping strategies—they want to better understand themselves, improve emotional resilience, and create lasting change. I'm best positioned to support adults and teens who feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or emotionally exhausted from trying to “hold it all together.” Many of the people I work with are highly self-aware and capable in their daily lives, yet privately struggle with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, self-criticism, relationship stress, life transitions, or the lingering effects of difficult past experiences.
