I am a firm believer in the transformative power of counseling because I have done, and continue to do my own personal therapy. I understand intimately what it's like to be in the "other seat" as a client, and I recognize the courage it takes to embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal development. Having engaged in my own therapeutic process, I have not only witnessed but actively experienced the positive impact of counseling. I am proud to share that many of the successful strategies I teach in my practice are ones I have personally used in my own life. This personal connection to the therapeutic process allows me to approach each client with empathy, understanding, and a genuine commitment to facilitating transformative change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my "go-to" therapeutic style. Why? Because it is SUPER EFFECTIVE and produces real results! What's driving your mental health? Probably a combination of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We will look at how your habits impact your mental health and develop practical coping strategies for managing stress and anxiety. I'm also a big believer in the power of Growth Mindset and utilize this within my CBT style.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

As a former yoga and meditation teacher, I guide clients in the practice of mindfulness, teaching techniques such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and guided imagery. I know how important mindfulness and breathing is, especially for those struggling with anxiety, stress and trauma. Dialectical Behavior Therapy teaches skills to empower you to tap into your WISE Mind and stop letting emotions rule you.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is essential to making meaningful and lasting change in therapy! We will partner together toward setting and achieving personally meaningful goals, even if you're not exactly sure what those are yet. This therapeutic partnership is non-judgmental, values your life experiences, and encourages self-exploration and self-acceptance.
