11 years of experience

I’m Jodene, and I’m a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Do you find that symptoms of depression, anxiety, or poor attention are stopping you from living your life the way you want? Do you procrastinate, avoid people and situations that are stressful, feel overwhelmed, struggle with worry, or get lost in your head? Are you hypervigilant? Do you have panic attacks or struggle to focus? These are all symptoms of common conditions. We will work together to craft a treatment plan to address your specific needs and the symptoms you are experiencing. Many people begin to feel better rather quickly with the proper medication. It can be difficult to get started, but you likely will feel relief once you get the process started. We are here to support and work with you. You are worth it!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our intake process is very comprehensive. At our first session, we cover many topics but do not get too in-depth on any of them. We are trying to get a good overview of you and your situation. Together we will craft a treatment plan. With each session, we will review progress which can include successes as well as things that are more difficult or not going as well as hoped. As with other processes in life, there can be bumps in road, and together we can adapt and adjust the plan as needed. We will meet you where you are on your personal journey. We are here for you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

We support your progress with talk therapy, medication management, and psychosocial interventions. We use screening and assessment tools on intake and throughout your journey to monitor your progress and changes. As we continue to work together, we refine and adjust the treatment plan, always keeping in mind your specific needs and the symptoms you most want to target as this can change over time. You are the center of the treatment plan, and our focus is always on you and your care.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I would like to talk to you and find out what your struggles are and how we might work together to make your life better. You might be experiencing the same symptoms as another, but your unique life experiences can mean we need to implement a treatment plan unique to you. I enjoy learning exactly what it is about you and your life experiences that makes you who you are. The things that make you special and unique need to be incorporated into the plan that we will craft together.
