(she/her)
I am a doctorally prepared, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a passion for supporting adolescents, young adults, and women through life’s transitions. I specialize in helping clients navigate significant changes such as starting college, embarking on a new career, or adjusting to new relationships. Additionally, I work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as women’s mental health, including perinatal and postpartum care. By integrating evidence-based practices with a compassionate, client-centered approach, I empower clients to build resilience, manage mental health challenges, and make positive, lasting changes. My goal is to help individuals not only overcome their struggles but also discover a renewed sense of purpose, balance, and emotional well-being in their lives.
During your first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we’ll take the time to get to know each other. This initial 45-60 minute session is an opportunity for you to share your concerns, goals, and any challenges you’re facing. I’ll listen carefully, ask questions to better understand your needs, and together, we’ll create a plan for moving forward. There’s no pressure or judgment this is simply a space for you to begin your journey toward growth and healing. You’ll leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clear sense of the next steps.
I strive to create a relaxed, approachable atmosphere where you feel comfortable, heard, and understood from the moment we begin working together. My ability to listen actively and provide a non-judgmental space is one of my greatest strengths as a provider. With extensive experience in crisis intervention, having worked in multiple crisis centers, I’ve developed the ability to quickly assess and respond to urgent mental health needs. Additionally, my strong background in medication management ensures that clients receive the right treatment to support their mental well-being. My goal is to combine these strengths with compassion and humor to empower you as we work together toward your mental health goals.
If you’re an adolescent or young adult navigating life’s transitions—whether it’s starting college, stepping into a new career, or adjusting to a new relationship—I’m here to support you. If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder, I can help you manage these challenges with effective, evidence-based strategies. For women facing the unique challenges of perinatal and postpartum mental health, I offer compassionate care tailored to your specific needs. The clients I’m best positioned to serve are those seeking emotional balance, resilience, and support in overcoming overwhelming obstacles. You might be feeling uncertain about your next steps or trapped in patterns that no longer serve you, but you’re motivated to explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and living. I also offer medication management for those who may benefit from it, helping you find the right treatment to support your mental health journey. My goal is to facilitate your journey as you build the tools, confidence, and resilience to navigate life’s challenges, foster personal growth, and create lasting positive change on your terms.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is used as a structured, goal-oriented approach to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to develop healthier thinking patterns and coping strategies that support emotional well-being. CBT is tailored to each individual’s needs, and I often integrate it with other therapeutic approaches to provide comprehensive care.
Motivational Interviewing
In my practice, Motivational Interviewing is used to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change in a supportive and non-judgmental way. I use open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations to strengthen clients’ own motivation and commitment to their goals. MI is especially helpful when working with clients who are navigating behavioral changes, such as managing substance use, improving health habits, or enhancing emotional regulation.
Strength-Based
In my practice, I use a strength-based approach to empower clients by focusing on their existing resources, resilience, and past successes. Rather than centering solely on problems or deficits, I help clients identify and build upon their existing strengths to support personal growth and positive change. This perspective fosters hope, confidence, and a greater sense of agency in the therapeutic process.
Compassion Focused
In my practice, I incorporate a compassion-focused approach to help clients develop self-kindness, emotional resilience, and a more balanced relationship with their thoughts and feelings. This method is particularly useful for individuals struggling with shame, self-criticism, or trauma. By fostering a sense of safety and understanding, I support clients in cultivating compassion for themselves and others, which can lead to deeper healing and lasting change.
Faith based therapy
In my practice, I use a faith-based integrative approach, combining evidence-based therapies like CBT, Motivational Interviewing, strength-based, and compassion-focused methods, while incorporating Christian principles. This approach supports emotional healing, personal growth, and spiritual alignment in a way that honors each client’s faith.
