About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience helping adolescents, adults, and families navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and empowered. Using trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, I help clients build on their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're facing a difficult season of life or seeking personal growth, I am committed to supporting you on your journey toward healing and wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Beginning therapy can feel exciting, overwhelming, or even a little intimidating. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals for treatment. This helps me gain a better understanding of your experiences and allows us to begin developing a plan tailored to your needs. We will also review important information such as confidentiality, the therapy process, and any questions you may have about treatment. Most importantly, the first session is an opportunity for you to determine whether I am a good fit for your needs and for us to begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We will work together to identify goals and take meaningful steps toward healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often appreciate my ability to build genuine connections, listen without judgment, and provide both support and practical guidance. I bring warmth, empathy, patience, and a calm presence to sessions, helping clients feel heard, understood, and respected. I am committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients can safely explore their challenges, recognize their strengths, and develop the confidence needed to create meaningful change in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals who are ready to improve their mental health and create positive change in their lives. My ideal client is someone who is open to self-exploration, motivated for growth, and willing to work collaboratively in therapy. Together, we identify challenges, build on strengths, and develop practical strategies to help clients achieve their goals, improve emotional well-being, and create lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, or difficulties coping with life's challenges. Through a collaborative and supportive process, clients learn practical skills to challenge negative thinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful changes that improve their overall well-being. My goal is to empower clients with tools they can use both in and outside of therapy to build resilience, increase self-awareness, and achieve their personal goals.

Trauma Informed Care

I practice from a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that many emotional, behavioral, and relationship challenges may be influenced by past traumatic experiences. Trauma-informed care emphasizes safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural sensitivity. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and in control of their therapeutic journey. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I approach treatment with curiosity and compassion, exploring "What happened to you?" and how those experiences may be impacting your life today. Together, we work to build coping skills, increase emotional regulation, process difficult experiences, and promote healing at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for each client.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I work collaboratively with them to identify their personal values, strengths, and goals. Through open-ended questions, reflective listening, affirmation, and guided exploration, clients gain greater insight into their motivations and develop confidence in their ability to make meaningful changes. This approach is particularly helpful for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.
