I am passionate about supporting people in living empowered lives. I am here to facilitate a collaborative process of inner work and inner awareness. I am well-versed in the therapeutic process and have been a Social Worker for over 15 years. I am a great listener and have the ability to attune to the needs of a person as they express and emote. My greatest offering is my presence, and my ability to provide non-judgmental support, feedback, and aid individuals in articulating their vision and taking steps in their desired direction. I see every individual as having incredible strengths, gifts, and resources, and I endeavor, in my personal and professional life, to see individuals as more than their circumstances and challenges. You are powerful and capable of any measure of growth you desire or strength you seek.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, you can expect to discuss what brings you to this experience as well as any previous therapeutic experience you've had. We will discuss what your goals are for this experience, and what you're envisioning for yourself moving forward. We will also discuss obstacles you are currently experiencing and the resources you have that can support in dissolving any barriers you're experiencing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is a combination of listening and feedback. I see therapy as collaborative. I see my clients as the experts on their lives, and I love to hear their perspectives on the patterns they are experiencing. I consider rapport as one of my greatest strengths. I am also an avid question-asker. I love to leave clients with questions for reflection to support them in deeper self-awareness.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with people who have a clear idea of what they're wanting to experience in their lives. My ideal client is a person who is ready to engage, reflect, and receive feedback. My ideal client is a person who is willing to show up, no matter how imperfectly, willing to give themselves their full attention.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I have been utilizing the strengths perspective since I began as a Social Worker. I love to utilize this perspective to point to and support clients in identifying and capitalizing on their innate gifts, abilities, and resources. It is so empowering to see your strengths, especially when you've been accustomed to pointing all of your problems.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

As a clinician, I understand that each person derives from several cultures and subcultures. These cultures shape what words mean, how we use language, how we see ourselves, and how we navigate the world around us. It is important to me to always remain a student, learning and inquiring about my clients' cultures with deep respect, appreciation, and consideration.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have about 15 years of experience with CBT. I love to utilize this approach to support clients in identifying their thought processes, pointing to where certain ideas derive and noticing how they add to or take away from one's quality of life. Once awareness is brought to one's thought process, conscious practices can be engaged to utilize and leverage thinking and decision-making to support personal goals and objectives.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have about 12 years of experience with Person-centered therapy. I love to utilize this approach to support clients in processing big emotions, relationship challenges, anxiety, and a host of other challenges. I often act as a witness, affirming thoughts, ideas, and noting patterns while offering encouragement and nonjudgment. It can really open up doors to deep self-awareness and provides clients with a deep sense of support.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is such a critical part of therapeutic words. I like to break down ideas and concepts as they apply to my client's current life. I encourage research and deeper understanding, as they support my clients in knowing how to apply ideas and put them into practical use.
