I have over 10 years of experience in helping individuals address trauma related symptoms, anxiety and stressful life changes. It's important to me to provide my clients with a safe space to learn more about themselves and build skills to live a more fulfilling life. I use a very compassionate and integrative approach to help clients meet their goals in therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session my goal is to get to know you better as a person. I will ask lots of questions about what brings you to therapy, challenges, strengths, likes and goals. It's important to me to create a safe space for my clients to be able to open up and feel comfortable. I also welcome questions you may have for me.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is being able to cultivate a safe and nonjudgemental space for people to be themselves and the ability to hold emotional space for my clients.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with individuals who experience anxiety, stressful life changes, trauma related symptoms and behaviors. I am passionate about working with adults who are seeking to learn more about themselves, live a more fulfilling life and reconnect to themselves and others in healthy ways.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In the beginning of treatment we will build rapport and I will ask lots of questions to get to know you better as a person. We will then begin to explore your presenting concerns and how these concerns impact you in different areas of life. CBT skills will then be discussed and practices to assist with symptom management, challenging thoughts and modifying behaviors.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy used to help people process and heal from traumatic experiences or disturbing memories. It’s a structured approach that helps your brain reprocess traumatic memories so they are less distressing.
