My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies suggest that CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life. CBT treatment usually involves efforts to change thinking patterns. These strategies might include: Learning to recognize one’s distortions in thinking that are creating problems, and then to reevaluate them in light of reality. Gaining a better understanding of the behavior and motivation of others. Using problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations. Learning to develop a greater sense of confidence in one’s own abilities.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the improvement of interfamilial relationships and behavioral patterns of the family unit as a whole, as well as among individual members and groupings, or subsystems, within the family.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused therapy (SFT) is a collaborative, culturally responsive, evidence-based approach that invites clients to describe what they want from therapy and apply what they already have toward achieving it in the shortest possible time. The therapist asks useful questions, listens closely to clients’ responses, and amplifies aspects of their responses and lives that support their hoped-for outcomes. SFT has been used throughout the world to assist a wide range of clients with challenges that include trauma, relationship problems, social-emotional difficulties, and more. Participants will leave with practical knowledge and tools for helping clients build practical solutions from their strengths, and previous successes
