Medgine Colin
I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 2 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, and life stressors. My goal is to help you feel more stable, focused, and confident in your daily life.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I help adults struggling with anxiety, ADHD, and depression feel stable and focused through thoughtful medication management and brief psychotherapy.
I provide compassionate, personalized care through medication management and brief supportive therapy, always with a focus on your unique needs, values, and goals.
First session
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to care. I’ll ask about your symptoms, history, current stressors, medications, and goals so we can better understand what you’re experiencing. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, and next steps toward helping you feel better.
Strengths
My greatest strength is creating a space where clients feel truly heard, supported, and not judged. I understand that reaching out for mental health care can feel overwhelming, so I approach each session with compassion, honesty, and respect. My style is collaborative and client-centered, which means we work together to identify what is most important to you and develop a plan that feels realistic and aligned with your goals. I combine evidence-based medication management with brief supportive therapy to help address symptoms such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, sleep concerns, and emotional overwhelm. I take time to listen to your story, explain treatment options clearly, and help you feel informed and empowered in your care. My goal is to support you in feeling more balanced, focused, and confident as you move forward.
Ideal clients
I offer comprehensive care for patients struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD and insomnia. I work with adults, professionals, LGBTQ, women and men.
Treatment methods
Compassion-Focused
The goal of Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) is to help you develop self-compassion and emotional regulation by reducing shame and self-criticism. It aims to activate feelings of safety, warmth, and care to support psychological well-being.
Integrative
The objective is to develop a comprehensive and adaptable treatment plan that addresses your mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
The aim is to design a personalized and adaptable treatment plan that supports your mental, physical, and emotional health, incorporating mindfulness therapy as a core component of care.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use the CBT approach to reframe negative thought patterns into more positive ones.
Supportive
The goal of a supportive-focused treatment approach is to provide emotional support, validation, and encouragement while strengthening your existing coping skills. It aims to enhance stability, self-esteem, and resilience rather than directly challenging underlying conflicts.
