New to Grow
Hi, I’m Brittani, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, authenticity, and practical support. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we’ll identify your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure about what to expect. During our first session, my priority is creating a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you can share your story at your own pace. We’ll discuss what has brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, review your personal history, and identify the goals you hope to accomplish. I’ll also answer any questions you have about the therapeutic process so you feel informed and supported. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. My role is to meet you where you are, help you gain insight into your experiences, and develop a personalized plan that supports your healing, growth, and overall well-being.
I believe healing happens through genuine connection, trust, and collaboration. Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, compassionate, and easy to talk to while also providing honest feedback when needed. I balance empathy with practical tools that clients can begin using in their daily lives. My work is rooted in trauma-informed care and incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions. Whether you’re processing past experiences, navigating a difficult life transition, or managing anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges, I’ll support you while gently encouraging growth. My goal is to help you build resilience, increase self-awareness, and leave each session feeling more confident, empowered, and equipped to handle life’s challenges.
I work best with adults who are ready to better understand themselves, heal from difficult experiences, and create meaningful change in their lives. My ideal clients may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, relationship challenges, self-esteem, or major life transitions. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or simply looking for a safe place to process life’s challenges, I provide a compassionate, supportive environment where we can work together toward healing, resilience, and lasting growth. You don’t need to have all the answers just a willingness to begin.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop healthier coping strategies to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, and other emotional concerns.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness techniques to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment. Mindfulness can improve emotional regulation, reduce stress and anxiety, and help clients stay grounded in the present moment.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, build on what is already working, and create realistic, achievable goals. Rather than focusing only on problems, we work together to develop practical solutions that move you toward the life you want.
Trauma Informed Care
As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognize how past experiences can affect emotions, relationships, and daily functioning. I create a safe, supportive environment where clients can process difficult experiences at their own pace while developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and resilience. My approach emphasizes safety, empowerment, and healing rather than re-traumatization.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore mixed feelings about change without judgment. Through collaborative conversations, I support clients in increasing motivation, building confidence, and making meaningful changes that align with their personal values and goals.
