My name is Cha Peterson and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 4 years of experience working with diverse populations. I have worked with different ages from older adults to children ages 3 and up, different cultures, religions, ethnicities, and sexual orientation. I have experience working with a wide ranch of problems such as anxiety, depression, anger management, and significant changes. I understand the significant step signing up for therapy is.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session in an introduction session. It's a lot of loosely related questions to better understand you and your goals. The first session sets the tone and the goals for following sessions. During this session the first question is always why did you want to try therapy? Towards the end of the session its talking about what you like, hobbies, and activities you enjoy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach is about supporting and helping you. It's about finding ways to motivate and show areas where you have improved and areas of strength so you know that you can reach your goals. I based my methods and results off the individual person because I want every step to be client lead where you feel like you have control over how fast each step of therapy is.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

People who are motivated to reach their goals. If you have challenges with feeling overwhelmed, struggling with coping throughout the day, or difficulty regulating your emotions. Perhaps struggling with stress, worry, sadness, or frustration that is taking over your life in a way you don't want it to.
