Dannelle is a licensed mental health therapist in Florida. Her approach is empathic but also direct. She received her Bachelor’s in Health Science from the University of North Florida. After graduating with her Bachelor’s, she spent a year in India, teaching English and serving on teams that counseled people who suffered trauma and neglect. Dannelle then went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic. She continues to receive training in the areas of trauma, anxiety, and depression. Dannelle believes in a holistic approach. Life experience has taught her that the mind, body, soul, and spirit are not separate entities. Instead, they are connected. She views her clients from “this lens,” the whole individual. Her passion for therapy stems from her own experience with receiving counseling. She encountered her peaks and valleys through the process and became more resilient and whole. Her desire for others is to live an entire and enriched life. Dannelle’s drive is to see individuals shift from a mindset of dread to a mind that is full of life, opportunity, and purpose. Dannelle's approach is not just about finding solutions but about helping individuals find a purpose for their pain. She is deeply committed to her client's well-being and is ready to guide them to the root of their struggles, offering a safe and supportive space for their healing journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with brief introductions and then discuss your specific challenges. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe you want to be heard, seen, known, and understood. You are tired of feeling invisible, silenced, and worthless. It is your time to heal and become the best version of yourself. Your story is valuable. All of the pain and victories you have encountered make you uniquely who you are. You deserve for your story to be heard and for you to be valued and appreciated. Your fight with fear, depression, and anxiety is a genuine battle. In the worst of it, you did not think you could make it through another night. But here you are. You woke up and are living to see another day, so what will you do about it? Would you like your perspective and outlook on life to shift from seeing black and white to seeing color? Are you ready to overcome and change your path from victim to survivor? You will be able to do it. Shift happens. I am here to guide you on your mental and emotional wellness journey. Having worked with young professionals for the past nine years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on working through specific problems and finding solutions. It does not mainly deal with the past; it is much more concerned with issues in the present.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems therapy is predicated on the idea that every person has multiple sub-personalities, which can conflict with each other and lead to problematic habits and behaviors. The goal of IFS therapy is to help people identify and accept the different parts of themselves and heal the wounded parts. This can lead to personal growth and correcting problematic behavior patterns.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused brief therapy is a short-term therapy that focuses on setting goals and working out how to achieve them. It is about the future rather than the past and promotes positive change by encouraging you to focus on what you can do rather than what you can’t.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy is a structured program of psychotherapy with a robust educational component designed to provide skills for managing intense emotions and navigating through social relationships. Initially developed to manage the self-destructive impulses of chronic suicidal patients, it is also the treatment of choice for borderline personality disorder, emotion dysregulation, and a growing array of psychiatric conditions.
